+ Donation to drummers The Silvestre Dance Technique is a modern Technique of Brazilian Dance Expression, created by renowned teacher and choreographer Rosangela Silvestre. Founded in the gestures and mythology of the dances of the Orixá, this unique yet classically based form incorporates the four elements of nature; the chakra system; and the three triangles of the body. Together they provide the expression and interpretation of the exercises with the objective of conditioning the body, mind and spirit for dance. Regardless of prior experience, this technique offers a way to develop, evolve and discover our potential as we move. Class features movement across the floor, choreography in front of the mirror and utilizes traditional African Brazilian percussion, Jazz music and more. This class offers an intimate and connected way to experience movement. Open Level - No Shoes See Video |
